Pre-inspection information for home buyers & REALTORS®:
Roger Hankey wrote "What Home Inspectors need from REALTORS®" for the Minneapolis REALTOR. The key points of the article are:
We need:
Information about the client and the property (disclosure, mls info, phone #'s, emails, etc.)
Contact with the client to explain fees and contract.
Access to all areas: attic, mechanicals, garage, etc. ALL Utilities are to be ON.
Please remove or confine pets. Remove Glade Plug-Ins and other fragrence sources.
We have the "SuperKey" to faciliate convenient access.
You can find inspectors with lower fees, but you won't find inspectors with more experience in Twin Cities home inspections. We have conducted professional home inspections since 1975. We find the important issues, and put them in perspective. Our reports are printed on-site and our comments explain what can be done to correct the concerns we report. We treat our clients and the sellers with respect and courtesy. We want to help the client create a safe and secure new home.
